New York Giants quarterback Phil Simms led the Giants to Super Bowl XXI.  The Giants went on to defeat the Denver Broncos 39-20, and Simms was named Super Bowl XXI MVP.  Simms went 22 for 25 for 268 yards, setting a Super Bowl record for accuracy and passer rating with a rating of 150.9  Many consider Simms performance in Super Bowl XXI to be the best ever played by a quarterback.
